Displayport

DisplayPort is a digital display interface developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). It is designed to be a replacement for older interfaces such as VGA, DVI, and HDMI. DisplayPort supports higher resolutions, refresh rates, and color depths than other interfaces, and can also carry audio and other data.

There are several versions of DisplayPort, with the latest being DisplayPort 2.0. This version supports a maximum resolution of 7680x4320 (8K) at 60Hz, or 3840x2160 (4K) at 144Hz. It also supports HDR and DSC (Display Stream Compression), which allows for higher resolutions and refresh rates over a single cable.

DisplayPort connectors come in several sizes, including full-size, mini, and USB Type-C. DisplayPort cables can be used to connect a computer to a monitor or other display device, and can also be used to connect multiple displays in a daisy-chain configuration. Additionally, DisplayPort adapters are available to convert the interface to other formats such as HDMI or VGA.
